“Chillin” At Graziano’s New Vodka Lounge – Sub Zero Martinis In The Wine Country
April 2nd, 2009 categories: Petaluma, Restaurants
We recently ate dinner at Graziano’s and decided to try the new Vodka Lounge, which opened on November 21, 2008. There has been a lot of hype surrounding the recent renovation of Graziano’s (rumored to be in the $150,000 neighborhood), and it is well worth it. A most unusual Wine Country offering is sure to draw a big local following…we will definitely be back, probably bringing friends.
The evening started with us parking across Petaluma Boulevard from Graziano’s, right in front of World Of Stereo. Through the windows, we could see the calming blue lights of the newly constructed Vodka Lounge. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed at stylish glass and aluminum structure that is Graziano’s new Vodka Lounge. The inside of the Vodka Lounge has a glass bar, and 75 or so different Vodkas from which to sample.
We were also impressed at how well the new structure blended with Graziano’s décor. Graziano’s is traditionally decorated, with exposed brick walls, dark wood accents, crisp, clean white tablecloths, and high ceilings. Even though the Vodka Bar design with all of its glass and aluminum is ecclectic, it really does flow with the traditional décor.
The Vodka Bar is large, with room for 6 – 8 people who would be wearing coats. Coats??? You ask? YES, coats! The Vodka Lounge is chilled to below freezing temperatures to help bring out the best taste of the vodka. Faux fur coats are provided for patrons who plan to enter to Vodka Lounge. Feel free to bring your own coat, but make sure it is a warmone, as the Vodka Lounge is by design VERY COLD. You may even want to think about bringing some gloves depending on how long you plan to stay inside the bar.
When you are there, try your old favorite vodka, as the cold temperatures will help to enhance the taste. Also, try some different vodkas; who knows you may just find a new favorite, whether it be to sip, as a shot, or for a martini.
Because of the popularity of the Graziano’s Vodka Lounge, reservations are STRONGLY suggested. Graziano’s Vodka Lounge is definitely one of the “coolest” places in Petaluma and all of Sonoma County.
Graziano’s can be reached by phone at 707.762.5997 and is located at:
170 Petaluma Boulevard
Petaluma, CA 94952
Although the Graziano’s Vodka Lounge is well worth the trip on its own, we do suggest making an evening of it, having a fine italian meal as well. Make sure you tell the people at Graziano’s that you read about their fine food establishment on the Sonoma County Grapevine.
