That is right…I am speaking of Rohnert Park California. Did you guess right?
Rohnert Park has to be the quintessential family community. Named after Waldo Rohnert, and he definitely had a grand vision for the area. Rohnert Park offers many different “sections” each named after a letter of the alphabet that each street starts with. For Example…”R Section” has streets like Regents Circle, Roman Drive and Ruby Court. Each of Rohnert Park’s sections has a Park, hence the name Rohnert Park, and of course that Park is also named with the corresponding letter of the alphabet. The park in R section is Rainbow Park, and other parks throughout the city are named according to the “letter” of the section they are in.
Rohnert Park is an active community that features numerous parks, pools, a well laid out bicycle route, tennis courts, and challenging golf courses. Rohnert Park is also home to Sonoma State University, AKA SSU.
The ample supply of students (tenants of local apartments, condos, and homes) that Sonoma State University (AKA SSU) brings helps to keep Rohnert Park Real Estate values strong. Rohnert Park should continue to be a popular choice for home buyers with the introduction of Sonoma Mountain Village, the eco friendly project that is being developed by Codding Enterprises.
Sonoma Mountain Village is being developed in the southeast corner of Rohnert Park, on the former Agilent campus, and is putting Rohnert Park on the map as a environmentally forward community. Sonoma Mountain Village is the first and only “One Planet” community in the United States, and only the 4th in the world. It is a pretty amazing thing to think that we have a world leading building idea right here in beautiful Sonoma County.
Rohnert Park really offers one of the best family communities not only in Sonoma County but also in Northern California and beyond. Rohnert Park offers Real Estate that is moderately priced relative to the rest of Sonoma County, and should be on the rader of most home buyers who want a solid deal.
Rohnert Park offers a lot of active outlets, however does not have a central downtown like other cities such as Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Cotati. Most people choose Rohnert Park because of the family activites, parks, slower pace of life and scenic beauty.
