Get Away To Guerneville

Guerneville California is a well known tourist and vacation spot located here in picturesque Sonoma County.
Guerneville, AKA GuerneVegas, is Sonoma County’s own ”City of Lights”…No…Not really. Guerneville is a remarkably tranquil place that allows you to forget about the faster pace life, at least for a little while. Even though this is a tranquil getaway, a lot goes on in Guerneville. There are plenty of places to eat, go out for fun, hotels that bring in new people each week, and also many annual festivals. Most notably the Annual Blues Festival held at Johnson Beach and the Annual Jazz Festival are two of the biggest events each year. These events bring in a lot of out of towners who help the local economy.
Guerneville life is centered around The Russian River. “The River” offers many fun activities; from canoeing and kayaking (if you do not have your own, no worries, rentals are available from many places along the river), to fishing, to sun bathing on the many beaches that seem to be in each bend of the river.

Do not forget to visit the home of one of Guerneville’s most famous residents…Korbel Champagne Cellars. Korbel offers a great tour of the champagne cellars, a tasting room that keeps your glass filled, and the scenic beauty of a well maintained 100+ year old establishment. Make sure you take the rose garden tour and also try the culinary delights of the Korbel Delicatessen.
Guerneville is also a beautiful place to visit. Guerneville not only has the beauty of a small town and a gorgeous river that winds along river Road, but this is also Redwood country. These redwoods are hundreds of years old, and reach all the way to the sky. Make sure you make a day trip to Armstrong Woods while in Guerneville.
