Sonoma County Class of 2009!
I just wanted to make it a point to acknowledge and congratulate all the hard working people in Sonoma County and in particular Rancho Cotate High School (Rohnert Park) who graduated.
Today is your first day of freedom!!! Isn’t it a great feeling? Now it’s up to you to make choices in your life that will impact your future. You have finished what the local governments require from you. What next? There are many choices and the choice is up to you.
If there are any words of wisdom I can impart it would be the following:
Life goes by way too fast and sometimes we are too busy and miss the precious moments. Be sure to enjoy every part of your life and work through the tough times; there are better times ahead! We all have times that are rough but we can take one good lesson from them taught from a great teacher called Experience.
Reflect on those experiences and use them to help yourself or those around you. Always keep growing in health, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. As you go through life you will have an array of choices to make and your choices can greatly impact the rest of your life- for the better or for the worse. So in the words of a famous movie line from a really great movie (Indiana Jones- The Last Crusade), … “You must choose wisely.”
