Matanzas Creek Winery is about to celebrate its’ 13th annual Days Of Wine And Lavender festival. The event will take place from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on June 27, 2009.
The Days Of Wine And Lavender Festival is an afternoon that has many great things to do at Matanzas Creek Winery. Not only the harvest of Matanzas Creek’s “other crop” but also take a walk through the lavender fields and also the lavender barn where the lavender hangs and dries.
Also, make sure you taste the new “library wines” and also enjoy food and wine pairings….why did I even remind you…we know you will not miss this. Matanzas Creek also plans to have games of bocce set up, and will also have a live band to fill Bennett Valley with sound.
Matanzas Creek is one of our favorite wineries in Sonoma County. Located in Bennett Valley, Matanzas Creek is an easy to reach destination from all of Sonoma County. Bennett Valley was designated an American Viticulture Area (AVA) in 2003. Bennett Valley has long growing seasons due to the cooling effect of the Petaluma Wind Gap, and these long seasons help to produce World Class Wines.
