Sonoma County Contractors Out Of Business

Just a quick note today. I was calling around the past few days to get a roofing quote on behalf of a client, and it seemed like half of the numbers I called were no longer in service. I was calling local Sonoma County contractors for a reasonbly simple roof job in Santa Rosa.
I am surprised that so many tradespeople are out of work much less contractors actually out of Business.
When I did get the quotes, 3 in total, 1 was extremely low and 2 were much higher than I was expecting. You could tell the low quote was hungry for Business, and the other two said they were slow, and maybe were trying to make up for lost profits in the past. In any event, all were licensed, insured, and seemed like decent people. When it comes to something like a roof, we only recommend using a trusted, licensed, and insured professional. I do not have to tell you who won the bid…do I?
It is yet another sign of the times I suppose.
